Tips for falling Asleep:
  • Count backwards from 400
  • Warm bath or shower before bed
  • Turn off all electronics 20 min before bed
  • Never do homework while in bed
  • Keep room at cool temperature
  • Breath in for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, breath out for count of 8 seconds - REPEAT
  • Don't check time while trying to fall asleep
  • White noise such as a fan, soft rain sounds
  • Have a bedtime routine... do the same thing each night before bed (shower, brush teeth, etc.)
  • Don't eat a big meal before bedtime
  • BED TIME...same time every night... even on weekends
  • Lavender scent is helpful for relaxing
