For over 150 years, the Minnesota State Academies (MSA) have proudly served Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, Blind, and Visually Impaired students, from birth to age 22, across all regions of Minnesota. MSA is a state agency under the Executive Branch and consists of two schools:

  • Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD)

  • Minnesota State Academy for the Blind (MSAB)

All MSA students qualify for special education and have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Our dedicated staff, including licensed teachers, support staff, and specialists, are professionals with the training and passion to support the unique needs of our student population.
